character profile no.4 - Magen Valebyn

holy crud Magen is a neat-o character XD in the timeline of the story he's involved in, he's actually dead O_O he's a really new character, and very very little has been decided about his past yet.

he is a masochist, a somewhat psycho-path, and he loves to rile people (particually Alex!). not that he cant be normal~ he's mellows out after he's been dead for awhile. when he was alive he was something of a mad sciencist, and strifed to create what he called 'the perfect hybrid'. he conducted increasingly gruesome experiments on both humans and animals. his methods were mostly surgical, but he did use a little magic. he didnt really know it was magic though : ) Magen was gunned down by cops when his experiments were discovered.

actually, though he never achieved his goal his experiments were relatively successful. towards the end of his life very few of them died. one of his test subjects was a young run away from the hospital he gave a ride to, named James Madison. James is one of the main characters in the book- as a house cat. with help from a girl named Wiser Milano James, aka Fudge the cat, achieves a human form. he meets dead Magen in the story (called The Properties of Angel Blood) a the two get in a fight ^_^

Magen is a pretty good looking guy, as most of my characters are, but he's graunt, thin and malnourished. he has a very sickly appearence. other than that, he's got shaggy, brownish blonde hair and bright blue eyes. he's about....hm, 5'10, i suppose.

Alex Monger is the head of the sub-division in Heaven that retrieves dangerous supernatural artifacts from Earth. after a Vial containing Angel's Blood is forgotten on Earth, she dispatches him to retrieve it.

Magen is friends with the department's tech geek kid Monica and a black gremlin called Din. he's an ally to Arianus- not much of a friend, but they dont really mind each other. Wiser never warms up to him in the story, and dislikes him even more after she learns about his former practices and what he did to Fudgy/James.

Magen has a sentence of punishment in Heaven for his experiments, but the length of the sentence is never revealed. he's employed by Alex, and she commands the right to lengthen or shorten his sentence, though she doesn't even learn what the punishment is for until later in the story.

interesting fact~ Magen likes to creep Alex out (before they get together) by kissing her cheek. when he does this, a patch of scales appear for a few seconds on her skin where she did.

his name is pronouced MAH-JIN. not MEG-IN.
